The giving and receiving of love spoons is a custom unique to Wales. It dates back to medieval times. The feelings of the suitor were conveyed in the intricaies of the carving and designs, and patterns of the spoons had their own special significance.

Nowadays the love spoon is regarded as a good luck token, they are mainly given by newlyweds as thankyou tokens to their guests who attended their wedding.

Each spoon comes complete with a wedding tag containing the names of the happy couple and the date they were married. Wording inside the tag can either be in English or Welsh. Spoons are decorated with ribbons and flowers in the colour of your choice.
